Louisa hit 3 months at the end of January. She wore 3 month clothing and size 1 diapers for the entire month. A Lou started to get in a much better sleeping routine this month. She consistently started to give me a 5 hour stretch of sleep at night
Here are her weekly pictures for the month. As Nona says Lou "found her hands." In fact she often finds handfuls of my hair. I love the first picture because it looks like she is winking. In the fourth picture you can also see some of the bubbles she frequently blows.
In this photo you can really see the red highlights in Lou's hair. She also has very blonde eyelashes and eyebrows. It will be so fun to see where he coloring eventual ends up. Her eyes are still the prettiest shade of blue.
We had a follow-up appointment with the Orthopedic Surgeon this month. Since Lou was breech for so long, it is standard protocol to have a hip ultrasound to check on hip development. We went for her first ultrasound at the beginning of December and found out that one of her hips was underdeveloped. We went back at the beginning of January for a follow-up ultrasound and found out that that hip is now in a good range. Silas came along for a hip x-ray. He was also breech for as long but they didn't have this protocol in place when he was a baby. His hips look great too.
Lou had her first day of childcare as I returned to work. We kept telling Silas that Lou was going to go to school with him...well he was quite disappointed when the first day finally came and Lou wasn't right next to him all day. He is in the preschool class and Lou is in the Infant/Toddler class.
We had a great time over the Christmas break with family. Here is Lou taking a nap with Grandad.
Millie loves any chance she gets to give Lou a bottle.
Lou loved the light tunnel at the local park.
She got to meet Uncle Jeff...
cousin Carver...
...and Aunt Kim.
Lou also got lots of snuggles from Nona and Papa.
Millie got bows her first Christmas and we continued the tradition with Lou...after all, a girl can never have too many bows.
The days seem to be flying by and we can't believe how quickly our Little Lou is growing up.
