Here is our April in reverse. Silas had another eye appointment. His eyes are looking great and the ophthalmologist thinks he may grow out of his condition by the time he is an early teen. He had to get his eyes dilated so we decided to check him back into school. We ended up going to the library instead...where he and Lou had a blast playing with the magnet tiles.
Millie is absolutely my crafty girl. We found out the local art center was doing a sand art night and went for a little date.
Flat Stanley came all the way from Phoenix to visit us. Lou helped me pick up some brochures/post cards at the store near the capital. Here Stanley is taking a ride in her overalls...which by the way she is obsessed with.
Here is a little update on Lou...she loves granola bars, mandarin oranges and treats. She is talking up a storm...a few of my favorite phrases this month were "I help you," "not yet," and "I sitting." I love how she puts her arms up when we are driving down the hills by the kids' school and says "whee."
We took our first trip of the season to Lagoon. Our Preston cousins were down for a couple of Temple Open Houses and invited us to join them.
Silas is tall enough for the big bumper cars. He loved his first ride and I loved riding with him. The bumper cars were my favorite ride growing up.
We convinced Seth to come with us to Cross E Ranch one Friday night. The weather was perfect. This trip we ventured out into the tulip fields.
This moment was definitely a pinch me moment. I have been trying lately to bask in these moments that I used to dream of. So grateful for these four that call me Mom.
Lou absolutely LOVED the slides. She went up and down the steep hill all on her own multiple times to go down the big slides. I think she happily would have spent the entire evening there.
The kids LOVED the ropes course.
Silas needed a picture of a "pet" for school. We ended up sending a picture of him with our carnivorous plant REX.
Lou loves to help me in the kitchen...especially if I am making something sweet. Just imagine her saying "more cookie dough please."
The Bountiful temple was closed for most of April, so Seth and I headed out to the Jordan River Temple one evening.
We went to 7-ELEVEN's BYOC day again this year. After picking up our slurpees we went to the park.
Silas was delighted that we got him a hot dog too. This kid loves his dogs.
Seth and I have been going to lots of Open Houses as we try to figure out if we are going to move to a bigger home, remodel or make due with our current home. My bestie told me about a grand opening of a new community and we had a wonderful time visiting. They had face paint, balloons and a petting zoo for the little ones. We also loved the Acai bowls that they were giving away.
We have been loving the warmer weather. Seth took Millie to buy some flowers for our porch planters one Saturday.

We hit up a couple of parks
We started April off at the cabin with Nona and Papa and cousins.
We played lots of games.
We also had some delicious pizza.
JB and I make a pretty good team when it comes to pizza.
We only went on one hike this trip to the 100 hands. There was just one tricky spot near the beginning of the hike. Mary snapped this picture of JB and I helping Dad on the way down.
The petroglyphs were pretty incredible. Sadly just to the right of this picture some petroglyphs were quite damaged. Since our last visit, it looked like someone had try to cut the petroglyphs out of the wall.
Lou took her bug catcher on the hike and Seth managed to catch a spider for her.
The cousins had so much fun playing at he cabin. They especially loved when the neighbors dog would come to visit.
