3 YEARS OLD

Millie turned 3 at the end of September.  As I found some of my favorite pictures from the last year, I couldn't help but think how quickly that year has passed.

Millie has grown so much, learned so much and lived so much.

She can count to 10.

She recognizes the first letter in her name.

She loves to play pretend and when she plays with dolls she uses a high squeakily voice.

She holds up 3 fingers when people ask her how old she is.

She loves all things pink and sparkly.

At her 3 year check-up she weighed 29 pounds 2 ounces (33rd percentile) and was 36 inches tall (26th percentile).

She says her own prayers at night and almost every time prays that "Mommy go away from me."  I think she is praying that I will be safe at work.  She also prays for each member of our family.

She is a good eater and will at least try most foods.

She is SPUNKY!  When she is determined to do something on her own we have learned that it is better to stand back.

She LOVES dresses and getting herself dressed.

She also loves getting wet.  When we go on walks she runs through sprinklers.  When we swim at the pool she gets Seth to take her down the slide OVER and OVER and OVER.

She is an early riser and the first kid to be awake.

She watches everything that Phin does and wants to do just what he is doing. She asked that I take a picture of her on this rock...after Phin had his picture taken on this rock.  She even copied his pose.

She took dance lessons over the summer and LOVED having something that was just hers.

She became a BIG sister this year.  She is the first to let me know when Silas is crying and often says "baby needs milk."

She is officially potty trained...WOOHOO!

She does a great job with her Puddle Jumper and can get anywhere in the pool that she wants.  She flips over onto her back and just kicks her feet away.

She is a ray of sunshine in our family and we are so grateful she is ours.

September Randoms

Scott and Kristi's baby girl was blessed at the beginning of September.  Phin and Millie loved getting together with all of their cousins.

Our ward had a Mother/Daughter dinner.  So Millie and I headed over for a Nacho night.

We visited the Children's museum and the kids got to do a little school house project.

We also checked out the new mechanic area.

On our way home I needed to drop off a few things in the neighborhood...so I let the kids eat wear a push pop.

Phin and Millie have found quite the creative solution to us just having one swing.

A local dentist office had a carnival night with games, bounce houses and food trucks.  We walked down and had so much fun. Millie loved the playhouse inside of the dentist office.

Phin participated in Laps for Lions which is our school's annual fundraiser.

We picked up pizza and headed to our favorite park one night.

Silas loved the swing at the park.

Phin loved the little Ninja course at the park.

Our neighbors held their annual pizza party.  The kids had a blast hanging out with neighbors...and bobbing for apples.

 Hammock for four...

Seth's work was a sponsor for the Women Run the City 5K in Memory Grove.  I was able to run for free and had a great time running in my old stomping grounds.  This was my first run post-pregnancy and I am hoping to hit the pavement more in the months to come.

Our neighbor works at the new Layton Hospital so we went up for the Open House.

The kids liked their huge Operation game in one of the waiting rooms.

We also got to board Life Flight.

Seth got to demonstrate being a patient in an MRI machine.

We were so happy to finally found our neighbor...she snapped this picture of us in the baby nursery.

September also meant lots of canning.  I did peaches and tons of grape juice.
