January went by fairly quickly and it didn't feel quite as jammed packed as December. Silas ended the month at a birthday party at Fly High.
Seth and Phin had a YM overnighter at the Bishop's cabin. They were able to ice fish on Strawberry Reservoir.
They played a pretty lively game of Left-Center-Right with candy.
Earlier in the week Phin got to played dodge ball with the YM after they cleaned the church.
Silas started Activity Days. They did a geocaching activity for his first activity. For their second activity they decorated cupcakes. His were all Minecraft themed.
We picked up Valentines for the three youngest kids. Silas and Millie decided to give out 3D printed animals with their cards. So they sat and took turns picking their favorite 3D animals for their classmates.
We went to our niece Isabelle's mission farewell. She gave an absolutely stellar talk. Watch out Isabelle, when you get back Phin is bound to be taller than you.
Our local library is being remodeled and will be closed for the next 18 months. So we headed to the library branch the town over. Lou is less familiar with this branch but fell in love with all of their toys.
Phin also had an activity where they "played" with fire. They were practicing starting a fire with flint and steel.
The girls loved decorating for Valentine's Day.
We had Speech-Pathologist Appreciation Day at my school. I was absolutely spoiled.
I made some sourdough bagel bread. I love the way these loaves puffed up in the oven.
We tried out a new park in Farmington. It was absolutely packed. The kids loved the Ninja themed area with all of the obstacles and timers.
We had a dentist appointment at the beginning of the month. Lou has only ever let the dentist count her teeth...she refuses to even let the assistant brush her teeth. The dentist thought he saw a cavity on one of her top back teeth...so he recommended we go to a pediatric dentist. Lou is my first kiddo to even have a cavity so we were definitely entering uncharted territory. The pediatric dentist confirmed at least one cavity and recommended that Lou go under anesthesia to get it taken care of. I took a Friday off of work so we could make it to her 9AM appointment. She took a long time to wake up from anesthesia and slept all the way home but then was back to her normal self after that.

Lou was my sidekick when I went to donate blood this month. She is a sucker for the mini Oreos that they hand out.
She was so excited when one of her teachers sent a rock home for her to paint.
Silas came upstairs one evening looking quite a bit like Jolly Old Saint Nicholas. He had stuffed his entire Minky blanket down his onesie pajamas and had quite the belly.
This winter has been so mild so we haven't pulled out the hot cocoa much. The kids loved the candy cane spoons that Millie and I had picked up at Orson Gygi.
There was a ton of hype about a food pop-up called Uncle Boggy's. I was finally able to get in on a drop and dragged Seth along. It was a buffalo chicken biscuit sandwich, with hand cut potato chips, a cookie and a fresh limeade. While it was delicious, I thought the serving size was quite small for the price.
We also ended up waiting for over an hour to get our meal. They had gotten super behind in the morning when some of the staff had car troubles and couldn't quite catch up. Anyway it was our first...and last food drop.
Seth's work had their company party at a Utah Mammoth Hockey game. We were totally spoiled in a suite.
I found this paper in Silas' backpack and it made me smile.
I loaded a few books on CD onto Lou's Yoto. It was so fun to see her wait to hear the page turning sound.
Millie had a writing celebration at school. She wrote all about one of her favorite topics...Harry Potter.
We started the year out at Uncle Eric's New Years Day Party. We loved visiting with extended family and playing games.
I made a Cranberry Orange cake for the party. It was so yummy!
