February was short and sweet. We started the month off with a trip to the library and then hot doughnuts at Banbury Cross.
Lou is obviously obsessed with pink..here she is wearing all pink and writing on a pink paper.
Silas thought he looked like a walrus with a couple of Dum Dums that he earned at Let's Play Music.
Silas took a karate class after school a few days in January/February and had a "graduation" ceremony at the karate studio. It was really fun to see him excited to show off his moves.
Dad and I also celebrated our birthday. I made a Dubai Chocolate Bar cake for the occasion.
Amy sent me some cute Crumbl cookies on my birthday and they looked so cute in the cake plate that my parents got for me.
Seth and I have been craving one of the hot dogs that always smell so good outside the Delta Center. We decided to go down one night to try to find one and struck out. The kids did like sitting in this big chair.
Then we rode the train over to City Creek and were sad to see that the Taste of Red Iguana is no longer in the food court. The boys opted for some Chick-Fil-A and the rest of us had some Cafe Rio.
Seth had President's Day off so we went to the Rec center to swim.
Millie loves Activity Days. Her leaders taught her how to make bracelets and even sent her home with the colors to make one for each Hogwarts House.
We finally got a decent snowstorm. When I picked Lou up at lunch time she insisted on putting her snow stuff and heading out to play.
I loved seeing her out making a snow angel.
When the other kids got home from school they couldn't wait to get out and play too.
We have been totally spoiled with some pretty amazing sunsets.
I loved this drawing that Millie did of Lou.
Lou loved seeing all the Chinese New Years decorations when we volunteered in Silas' classroom.

We ended the month with Seth's birthday. He wanted me to make a cake for his work. He picked out several in the book and we ended up on a Strawberry Shortcake. It was light and just the right amount of sweet.
Seth was in a phone conference when we first arrived so we waited in these swivel chairs.
Seth's big present was a 3D printer. The kids have loved watching as all of their dreams are printed before their eyes. This was an Ender pearl for Silas.
We also ended the month at the library. Millie, Silas and Lou had a free book that we needed to pick up by the end of February so we headed to a branch in Salt Lake. The kid area in this library is really fun with a puppet theater, kitchen and sensory pads.
They also loved the game area near the front of the library and especially loved making creations with this straw building kit.
Seth's boss gifted us tickets to the Jazz game...and we were really close. Here we are waiting to go to our seats as the starting lineup was announced.
We took our friends the Newbolds and had the best time catching up with them.
Look closely on the left hand side and you can spot me on the dance cam...not dancing.
It also happened to be the Jazz Bear's birthday...so happy birthday to Seth and the Bear.

- Millie's field trip to the Natural History Museum.
- Our dryer dying...it had been really loud for a long time and I just kept putting a service call off. So now we have a nice quiet dryer.
- Parent Teacher Conferences for Millie and Silas.
- Seth going to Dad's and Doughnuts at Lou's school.
- Lots of play practice for Millie.
