We started September out at Lagoon. We met up with cousins.
Papa was able to join us too. My kids absolutely love the Lagoon maps and they each pick one up each visit.
Lou has become my best helper in the afternoons. Here she is "helping" me lick the mixer beaters after we made cookies.
She loves when we go to the library.
We had a girls picnic with our neighbors.
Lou loved the toys at the picnic.
This month I tackled my spice drawer...it was quite a mess before.
I bought matching jars with labels that go on the top...so we can actually see what spices we have.
We had a ward campout. On Friday night we had a dutch oven cobbler cookoff.
The moon was so bright.
We had a lake day planned with the ward after camping...but it was a little chilly so it was just us and one other family.
We found a balance bike at the DI for Lou...she was delighted.
We went to the Davis Bash again this year. This year we couldn't run through Lagoon...so we opted to get face painting and play on the big blow ups while the run was going on.
We were hoping that my name would be called for the fun drawing at the end...but it wasn't. Phin was pretty delighted that his name was called as a winner for the golf simulator in his age group.
We harvest quite a few pumpkins this year.
Seth and I went on a afternoon date to The Prairie Schooner up in Ogden. It is a steakhouse where you can eat in a Conestoga Wagon.
This year we are doing a Harry Potter theme for Halloween. I found a tutorial online for Hogwart Robes and started on Millie and Silas' robes.
Another project was working through the "stain" pile in my laundry room. I had a huge pile of clothes with stains that I needed to work on. After lots of trial, I found that Oxyclean and hot water got out almost all the stains.
Lou and I met up with some neighbor friends at a park for a little playdate.
A sports center near us had a grand opening. I took the kids and they got to meet all sorts of mascots.
The also got tons of freebies and we watched the BYU dunk team perform.
We also went to a local Luau. The gigantic shaved ice was a hit with my kids.
They also loved getting their faces painted again.
We watched a very fun performance.
The fire dancer was the kids favorite.
Millie even got up to learn a dance.
Seth had some leftover wood from a project so he made the kids some swords and then they painted them their favorite colors.
Millie turned 10! A whole decade with this sweet girl.
On Millie's birthday, we invited family up Mueller Park Canyon for a hot dog roast.
