Dragonfly

I found this dragonfly on the ivy outside my apartment last week. I have never seen a dragonfly this close up and was mesmerized. I couldn't help but wonder if this dragonfly was an omen. I looked up dragonfly symbolism and this is what I found...

"The main symbolisms of the dragonfly are renewal, positive force and the power of life in general. Dragonflies can also be a symbol of the sense of self that comes with maturity. Also, as a creature of the wind, the dragonfly frequently represents change. And as a dragonfly lives a short life, it knows it must live its life to the fullest with the short time it has – which is a lesson for all of us."

I was amazed when I found this. The dragonfly appears to be the best symbol for my life at the moment. In 34 days I will marry the love of my life and move several thousand miles away. Everything in my life appears to be changing and I am trying to enjoy every moment and live life to its fullest.

Wedding do

This is how my hair will look on the wedding day. It took about an hour for Abby to complete. Abby at Steur and Friends also did Amy's hair for her wedding day. Hoping to get bridal photos scheduled in the next couple of weeks.

Summer Concerts

Summer if officially here. I finished work about a week ago. I have been catching up on cleaning, exercising, wedding details, and just enjoying the summer. Seth and I stopped by the Peter Breinholt concert in the park. We have also been enjoying lots of scooter rides. Just 38 days until we tie the knot.

Adventures in Bicycling

I took Ruby out for a ride this week. She was having a hard time shifting and kept making noises. Her chain snapped in half and fell off. Luckily it was just a couple of blocks from my apartment and not up City Creek Canyon. Hopefully I can get Ruby back on the road soon.

Woman of Steel Photos

I found a few pictures from the Woman of Steel race that I competed in a couple of weeks ago. I have perfected the art of smiling when I see a camera. I can't guarantee that I am smiling when there is no camera in sight. In fact, I'm 100% sure I wasn't smiling on the uphill portions of the race.

Memorial Day

Seth and I spent Memorial Day up in Cache Valley visiting his family. It was a perfectly relaxing weekend filled with:

• Sleeping
  
• Family
• Food
• Raspberry shakes at Le Beau's
• Horseback Riding
• Settlers of Catan
  
• Shotgun shooting

I can successfully throw a clay pigeon... I'm still working on successfully shooting a clay pigeon. I did get a few good hits in. I tried to shoot with Seth's 12 gauge this time around and it made my arms tired really fast. His grandma's old 20 gauge is a better fit for me.
