12 MONTHS

Silas hit 12 months back in March...I am three months behind...mostly because I am chasing this little guy around constantly..  As you can tell, his 12 month pictures were slightly challenging.  He figured out that there are letters on the letter board and he didn't want to leave them alone.   At his 1 year appointment we found out that he is 30 inches tall (57th percentile) and 18 pounds 11 oz (12th percentile).  He also remains toothless and has completely mastered his Spiderman crawl.

Here are his weekly pictures...slightly crazy hair in all of them.

Silas says "Mama," "Dada," "uh-oh" and one time I have heard him say "Nona. He also continues to do his tongue click/pop.

Silas loves to pull up and stand next to things.  He also has an obsession with the stairs.

He is a master at drinking out of the Camelbak bottle.

He loves to be outside.

The dishwasher is his absolute favorite.  Here are a few photos of him helping Papa with the dishwasher one Sunday afternoon.

He also LOVES to empty drawers, hampers, etc.

He loves to climb and is so proud of himself when he gets to the top.

This month I let him loose at the Children's museum and he was in heaven.

I had life a little bit together...and managed to make his 1 year stats board very soon after his actual birthday.  I had some very eager helpers.

We headed to the Capitol building and got some cute 1 year pictures with the cherry blossoms in the background.

This picture was right after he tried to eat some of the gravel...sneaky little grin.

Silas has the best smile and he gives smiles away fairly easily.

The Sunday before his birthday we had some family over for dinner and cake and ice cream.  Silas doesn't like to be sticky or dirty...so he didn't smash any cake. 

He also had two siblings that were more than willing to help him blow out the candles.

On his actual birthday we sang...and he cried.  It was mostly due to the fact that he was tired.  He is down to just one nap a day.  Usually he naps just after I pick him up from daycare.

 

Happy 1st Birthday to our sweet Silas.  We love him!

MARCH

March was a bit of blur.  Silas was wasn't feeling great for much of the month.  He just wanted extra cuddles and love.  We kept thinking he was teething but our little guy remains toothless.

 

Most days Silas is all over the place.  He is trying his best to stay up with Phin and Millie...and with me...here he is trying out my step.

We were feeling a little cabin fever and decided to take advantage of $5 movies at our local theater on Tuesdays.  The kids loved the luxury recliners and they loved the new How to Train Your Dragon movie.

After the movie we stopped at the park and they went down the slide together over and over again.

Millie is full of personality these days.  I can't remember what she was trying to get me to do here...but just look at that expression.

We spent an afternoon down in Lehi playing games with Seth's cousin Cody and his wife Sherise.  Phin and Millie loved playing with their second cousins.  They have asked many times since when they get to play with "those" cousins again.

Silas LOVES the dishwasher and was more than willing to "help" papa load the dishwasher one Sunday.
  

Phin and Millie were delighted to have their Idaho cousins come visit.  They spent tons of time playing in the yard at Nona's.

We also took a trip down to The Children's Museum.

 

They made jellyfish out of recycled materials and loved being creative together.

Phin seems to have two expressions lately...a super fake smile...or extremely serious.

After the museum we hit up Dairy Cone for free cone day.  

March also meant that school plays were taking place.  I took the kids to my school to see Peter Pan.  We loved people watching before the show to see all of the costumes.

Millie loved the mermaids and fairies.  Phin loved the Pirates and Indians. It was really a spectacular performance. 

Millie even wanted to have her picture taken next to one of the fairies during intermission.  

Our ward had a pie party in March.  We took a yummy Oreo pie. The next day we went to James and The Giant Peach at the school next to us...it wasn't nearly as captivating as Peter Pan for these little people.

We had family the Sunday before Silas' birthday.  Seth cooked dutch oven beans and cheesy potatoes.  The kids pretended they were camping as Seth did his cooking.

How can this little guy already be one?  I made a layered Oreo cake.  Silas doesn't love being dirty so no smashing took place...although he did almost get his foot in the cake.

Warmer weather has meant more walks and scooter rides.  I love this picture of Seth pulling Millie on the scooter.

I managed to get a poster made for Silas' birthday.  I did have two pretty awesome helpers.

 This is Silas on his actual birthday...he loves to be outside playing/eating in the dirt.

On the night of Silas' birthday we made S'mores outside.

Grandma Jo stopped by in March with  a St. Patrick Day goodie bag and also with a fairy garden. 

Phin was happy that she brought cousin Jameson with her.

We had leftover birthday cake for days.  This picture makes me laugh because Seth eats everything but the frosting...and Phin only eats the frosting.
