After our Spring Break adventures we settled back into life at home. I made cinnamon rolls for General Conference Sunday.
Phin is a carbohydrate kind of guy...he could live off of crackers, bread, pancakes, etc. I got a kick out of him playing with his goldfish crackers before devouring them.
Phin and Millie can fight with the best of them...but they are also each others best friends. I love hearing Millie refer to Phin as "MY PHINNER."
Phin has been taking Let's Play Music Classes this year. In April we spent a lot of time practicing for his recital. He loved playing teacher to show Millie how to play his bells.
Every other week I attended Let's Play Music class with Phin. It was fun to have a special date with him a couple times a month. For our last class of the year we stopped by Fizz for a cookie and soda.
Phin had a Let's Play Music Recital Practice near the end of the month.
I thought he looked so grown up with his hat on backwards.
We got a new vacuum...and it was quite a novelty and these two were more than willing to vacuum. Our last vacuum still worked...but the attachments had cracked as they had been used in many sword fights.
The cherry blossoms around the Capitol building were spectacular this year.
Phin was so stoic in this picture...it reminded me a little of Abraham Lincoln.
Millie on the other hand was all smiles.
Millie raced up to the top of the Capitol steps and Phin hollered at her to come back.
After the cherry blossoms we stopped at a taco truck and took our lunch to Liberty Park.
It was cold...so Millie wore a sweatshirt that I had in the car. A nice family shared bread so that our kids could feed the ducks.
We went to The Lego Movie 2 at the dollar theater. We got there early so the kids played in the kids area before the movie.
I signed Millie and Phin up for swim lessons. It was nice to not be taking lessons during the summer with the rest of the world.
Silas was a pretty good sport as we waited poolside for the lessons to be over.
Millie made great progress...here she is showing off her airplane moves.
Silas became quite the expert at cruising along the bench at other swim lessons.
April was very rainy...which meant we were able to visit Seth's work and drive remote controlled boats on the retention pond outside his office window.
The rocks outside his office window are perfect for hopscotch.
Easter was wonderful. We got lots of games, books and new church clothes.
April also meant more time out in the yard...the kids didn't mind being outside while I weeded our flower beds. Phin was even brave enough to hold a worm.
Silas is in to everything these days...if you need anything emptied...he is your man.
He has also become a master climber...the kids table in our living room is his mountain.
The kids got some tongue tattoo fruit roll ups that they loved testing out.
One day I looked over and saw Millie "feeding" her baby.
Silas loves to be outside and scoots as fast as he can towards any open door.
