19 MONTHS

Silas hit the 19 month mark back in October.  He is so busy these days and is pretty much moving or sleeping.  I wish he did more of the later...he still wakes up at least once a night most nights.

He LOVES books.  He carries books all around our house and loves to be read to.  His favorite books are ones with sliding parts or lift the flap books.  He also loves books with animals and vehicles.

He also LOVES to be outside.  He is so disappointed when I open a door to the house and close it before he is able to make his way outside.

He has the cutest little baby run and he is actually pretty fast.

He is starting to talk more and more each day.  When I spell L-E-T-S-G-O he shouts Let's Go.  He has also learned the word NO and uses it very liberally.

I made part of his costume this year and while I worked away at the sewing machine he insisted on sitting on my lap.  He was so curious about what I was doing.

He continues to adore his siblings.  Millie loves to mother him...sometimes he likes the mothering...other days not so much.

Phin is able to get Silas to belly laugh...and scream.  I prefer when he gets him to do the first.

He is absolutely a Mama's boy.   If Seth goes in to get him out of his crib in the morning he shouts NO and screams MAMA louder.

He LOVES animals and in this photo below he was saying MOO to the cows on the hayride.

He LOVES playing and loved the corn pit at the Fall Ranch we visited.

He also LOVES many of the rides at Lagoon.  The old fashion cars and Bulgy the Whale are by far his favorites.

You can almost see in this photo that he grew another molar on the bottom and two more teeth up top this month.  He is now up to a grand total of 8.

He LOVED trick or treating.  Although when found he did best when he had a sucker in his mouth.  It was just too hard to put all of the treats in his bag and not eat them right away.

Happy 19 months to Silas.  We love you buddy!

Fall Break = Frightmares

The second day of Fall Break we went to Frightmares.  This was a bittersweet day.  It was our last day at Lagoon for the year...and also Papa's last Executive of the Day day.  He is set to retire early in 2020.  It is definitely an end of an era.

We got one last picture with Papa as Exec.

We met up with family but also with our good friends.  The Fall colors were gorgeous throughout the park.

I had to post this whole series of Silas on Bulgy the whale...

I think it is safe to say that Bulgy is one of his favorite rides.

We met up with some of the older cousins for one last train ride.  Jane kept Phin and Millie entertained in line with rock-paper-scissors.

Fall Break = Cross E Ranch

We spent the first day of Fall Break at Cross E Ranch.  The festival keep adding things every year and the kids definitely look forward to this tradition.

Millie is often found hovering over Silas.  Seth has heard her say a few times "Si, I your momma."  Here she is with her arms wrapped around him as he tries to wiggle free...

We were able to catch a pig race which is always tons of fun.

The picture cutouts are also a blast.

We spent a ton of time jumping on the jumping pads.

Millie's favorite thing had to be the slides.

Phin loved the newly added ziplines.

The corn pits were a hit as always.

We also enjoyed some yummy food at the Festival.  We didn't have one of Millie's Sweet Shop apples...but we did enjoy some fresh doughnuts and hamburgers.

Phin and Millie are all about maps these days.  They were trying to figure out where we were on the map as we waited for the hayride out to see the cows.

Proof that I was along for the adventure.

I don't know if you can tell...but Silas is saying MOO.

We took a second trip to the corn pit.

Then Silas went down the little slide with Phin.

Third trip to the corn pit.

And then we were done...mostly because we were getting cold.
