Road Trip: Part II

Our next stop was Missoula, Montana.  Seth went to get us some take out to Notorious P.I.G. BBQ while I watched the kids play at Dragon Hallow Park.  It was such a fun park.

Millie called this her Rapunzel tower.

After our picnic lunch we headed on a walk up to Caras Park.  We stopped and watched the surfers on Brennan's wave.

We even spotted someone in a kayak.

Then we walked over the river to get some ice cream.

Big Dipper had yummy ice cream and cones.

On our walk back to the car we spotted the big M on the hill.  This was my attempt to get a picture of Millie with "her letter."

After changing at the hotel we headed up to French town State Park to paddle board.

This lake was so pretty and the kids had a blast playing on the dock.

Silas was slightly obsessed with this ball and kept chasing this little boy around trying to get it.

He also was very concerned when Phin tried to climb up on the dock and tried his best to help him.

There was a small hole in the paddle board but we were able to patch it and then we let the kids take it out for a ride.  It was a little windier than Phin is used to so I had to swim out to help him get back to shore.

The next day we drove up to Garnet Ghost Town.

It was fun to see so many buildings in a Ghost Town and to imagine life as it would have been back during the gold rush.

Our next stop was at the Fort Missoula museum.

Phin was fascinated with fire watch tower.

Our last stop was at The Museum of Flight.

Then we dropped Seth off at the airport in Missoula and continued on our trip.  We were so sad that he couldn't be with us the whole trip.

Road Trip: Part I

We started our Road Trip out at the Preston's in Idaho.  We drove up after Seth got off of work on Thursday, July 2nd.  The kids were so excited to play together in the morning.

Kate showed off her swing skills.

Harvey shared his sandbox and all his digging toys.

Kate also opened her snow shack and made us a yummy snow cone.

Before we left Silas discovered Harvey's Jeep and was in love...he could have spent all day in the drivers seat.

We got one last picture of the kids before hitting the road for our next spot.

I believe in lots of treats on road trips...we had Cherry Nibs, Starbursts and Swedish Fish...Phin's tongue got quite red.

We spent the night at Fairmont Hot Springs.  The water was perfect.  We got quite a lightning storm and headed inside once the lightning got close.

Silas wasn't sure about his new life jacket and clung to Seth the entire time we were in the pool.

After showering off we discovered the playground at the resort.

The playground had a little totem pole...the kids pretended it was the PJ Masks Totem Pole.

We rented the new trolls movie for the kids...they loved it.

Our first stop in Montana was amazing...look at that sky.
