We spent Mother's Day weekend down in St. George with Sarah's family. It was the perfect weekend getaway and reunion with our Idaho cousins. Once again...my pictures have posted in reverse so here is our weekend in reverse. We came home on Monday. We decided to stop at the Beaver Creamery for ice cream and squeaky cheese. The ice cream was so good...and we will definitely be making this stop again.
Phin looks like he is trying out his Zoolander look here...and yes he did his own hair.
The day before we explored the new to us splash pad by the Children's Museum. It looked like this splash pad was tiny when we drove by but once we started playing we realized there was a whole section further back from the street. It was designed like a river and the kids loved it.
Silas found a little friend just his size.
We also explored up at Pioneer Park. Phin was pointing up in this narrow canyon and said he could see a turtle with wings...turned out to be just a regular bird.
How many cousins can you fit in a tiny rock hole...the answer is four.
In the background you can see the St. George temple that is undergoing major renovations. We drove around the temple later and it is pretty impressive to see all the work that is taking place.
I took this picture on Mother's Day morning and sent it to my own Mom. Sure love these cute little smiles.
We had planned to go to Sand Hallow Reservoir on Saturday...but decided the kids were content to just hang out at the pool.
It was so fun to see the kids just play with each other all weekend.
We visited Thunder Junction All Abilities Park on Saturday morning.
Silas loved the splash pad. It was inevitable that he was going to get pretty wet.
We visited the Children's Museum on Friday.
Millie absolutely loved the little stage area. They have changed the theme of this room so it looks like Tuacahn theater and it is so fun.
Our first morning in St. George we also spent quite a bit of time at the pool.
The cutest little cousin pairs overlooking the golf course near our condo.
We all arrived pretty late on Thursday night. The kids were so excited to wake up and find each other. Phin and Kate got busy right away playing Catan Junior. Thanks for making the long drive down from Idaho cousins. We wish the weekend could have lasted longer.
