Phin had his last few days of school at the beginning of June. I was able to sneak away from my office for a few minutes to watch him enjoying field day.
This is the first year that he has had school on his birthday. He was excited to open presents and eat doughnuts before heading off for school.
Phin's big present was a big Lego STEM kit.
Millie and Silas each picked out a box of cereal to give to Phin.
Phin couldn't wait to get started on his Legos when he got home from school.
Finally the last day of school arrived.
We got to hang out with Scott's kids while Phin was at his last day of school. We walked down to the park to play.
We had a lot of errands to run to get ready for Phin's baptism. Phin and Silas found ways to keep themselves entertained...
Nona came to the rescue and tailored Phin's new suit so he would be ready for his big baptism day...I almost started to cry when he put it on for the first time. It was like 8 going on 18...
At the beginning of the year we set the goal for Phin to read the Book of Mormon with us before he was baptized. We finished just in the nick of time. Here is Phin with the sweetest smile of accomplishment.
He earned a mini-fig for each book that we finished. Some of the mini-figs (Alma) took longer to earn. His last mini-fig was the Red Hulk.
Phin was baptized on Saturday, June 5th. Here are my handsome boys just before the baptism started.

We had everyone back to our house for a luncheon...we served Pizza...Phin's favorite.
We also had cake...squint and imagine a Lego brick.
Phin loved playing the arcade with his cousins. It was so fun to have these four reunited again.
Millie received her UPSTART t-shirt, cap and graduation certificate in the mail. She was pretty proud of her accomplishment.
We started going to free summer lunch in June. I have been so surprised to learn that Millie and Silas both love diced peaches and pears. Millie also loves romaine lettuce with ranch. I love having one meal that I don't have to prepare or clean-up.
We met up at the Rec Center to swim with friends.
We also checked out the new splash pad that is downtown. The kids loved it.
After the Splash Pad we headed over to Main Street for the Chalk Art Festival. I brought some chalk so the kids could do their own drawings.
Then we headed over to Blacksmith Ice Cream.
We drove up to Idaho one day to meet our newest cousin Jack. The kids were so excited to see their Idaho cousins.
They loved playing outside our cousins new house that is currently being built.
We took Millie to one of our new favorite parks. She was at a birthday party when we first discovered this one. Phin made new friends quickly this day and loved playing Lava Monster.
When Seth got home from work one Friday we walked down to see the rest of the Chalk Art Festival. Millie and Phin seemed to want their picture taken by each piece.
Seth and Phin went for a hike above Bountiful one Saturday morning while I took the other two to garage sales.
Millie discovered some books I had hidden away and enjoyed "reading" them to Silas.
Phin started tennis lessons...so the kids insisted we take a picture while we waited for him.
Silas thought he should be starting tennis lessons...he wants to do everything that Phin is doing.
We headed out to Lagoon-A-Beach one evening when Seth got home from work. It was the best way to stay cool in our record breaking heat wave.
Millie loved the slides and went down them over and over.
We also went on Rattlesnake Rapids after Lagoon-A-Beach closed.
Millie started dance lessons and was so excited to run into a girl that was in her class two summers ago.
I hit my Century Ride on Peloton in June. I was sure to take a live class so that the instructor would call out my screen-name.
We took a little road trip down to Central Utah for Father's Day weekend. Our first stop was at the Cleveland Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry.
We went to see a pretty awesome dinosaur track.
We also saw some spectacular hieroglyphs.
The little family of five over Silas' shoulder is my favorite.
We also found a little cave close to a campground that has had some fires set in it...we loved the drawings that people have left behind.
We camped at Goblin Valley this little spot was close to our campsite. The kids loved exploring the red rocks.
They thought Goblin Valley was so cool...we were just sad we forgot to bring our laser tag guns.
Seth had us play sardines...it scared the crap out of me...but our kids seemed to enjoy it.
It was hot in Goblin Valley. I didn't sleep well the first night...the kids probably would have slept in quite a while but we wanted to take advantage of the cooler morning hours.

We drove over to Green River and played at Swasey Beach.
It had rained a little when we got back to Goblin Valley...so we delayed hiking the slot canyon and headed back to the Valley to explore.
The best thing about the campground was the showers. We showered before bed...we also got some of our quick-dry towels wet and put them over our bodies so we could fall asleep.
The next day we were up bright and early to hike Wild Horse Slot Canyon.
We didn't make the whole loop...these kiddos were tired from a few days in the sun but we got a great taste of this beautiful slot canyon.
When we got home we cooled off in the water table.
We also enjoyed our first raspberries of the season.
Millie found this little "cell phone" lip gloss container at the store and had to have it. I told her she would have to pay me for it before it was officially hers. She worked hard all day on her chores and at the end of the day we counted her money and she had just enough. I loved watching her work hard towards a goal. She was delighted with herself.
Silas has a gift for knowing when I don't feel my best. He will find me and come to keep me company. On this particular occasion he brought his transformer too.
We went to a summer reading program at a park and they handed out ring pops...this kiddo loved that ring.
We had our annual Ward camp-out at Camp Zarahemla. The kids were so excited to go. As soon as we unpacked the car they wanted to go to the famous tree swing.
It took us a while to cook our dinner and before it was done the Primary was handing out popsicles...so these kiddos had popsicles for dinner. I think Silas had at least four.
It was pretty cold the next morning and after a yummy breakfast the kids couldn't wait to float in the creek.
After the camp-out we headed up to Cache Valley for Grandad's birthday party. Grandma Jo rented the same water slide that they had rented two years ago and the kids couldn't wait for it to be ready. Phin insisted on being the first one down.
Silas went down the big slide once and decided once was enough. He stuck to the smaller slide for the rest of the day.
We also took a trip to Lagoon with our Idaho cousins in June.
Phin and Kate have finally outgrown Bulgy the Whale.
We went to the Game Show and both Phin and Kate were chosen to go up and compete on stage. Phin hula hooped his heart out.
These cousins come in the cutest little pairs. It is fun to see them all together.
Phin had his last tennis lesson. They were playing music and Phin had some pretty good moves.
Whew...that was June. We were busy but loved all the memories we made.
