February was a very busy month for our family. Phin had two Vex IQ competitions. This years challenge was particularly difficult and we weren't sure his team's robot would be ready for the competition. Somehow they pulled it together an were able to compete in the first competition.
I took this picture as proof that Seth can sleep anywhere...here he is catching a nap with Silas wiggling on top of him.
Lou loves to lick the beaters.

I made Scott a birthday cake. He said his favorite is a yellow cake with jam between the layers...so I found a Strawberry Pretzel cake recipe.
Millie LOVED basketball and looked forward to each game. The Junior High the game was held at had this glow-in-the dark art exhibit that we enjoyed.
I am trying to get Lou out a little more in the afternoon. She loves visits to the library.
Millie had a Junior Jazz night to the Jazz game. She doesn't usually like hot dogs but was willing to eat this free one.
She loved cheering on the Jazz and dancing at all the breaks.
Silas' favorite part of each basketball game was...the treats at the end.
Seth and Phin went on a YM camp-out to the Bishop's cabin.
Phin had a great time playing in the snow up near Strawberry Reservoir.
My birthday was on a Sunday this year. We had our traditional birthday doughnuts.
I made an Almond Joy cake to celebrate our birthday. This cake was so delicious...I also think it is the prettiest cake I have made so far. I was brave enough to try the cake drip.
Lou loves to "paint" and the magic watercolor book we got her for Christmas is one of her favorites.
We wanted to decorate Valentine's Day sugar cookies...but I didn't quite have time to make them so Dick's grocery to the rescue.
It is pretty awesome that Phin gets to go to YM with Seth. Seth is able to snap some pictures of the activities. Here they are on a game night.

We rallied and made Valentine Day boxes. Silas went for a puppy box.

One Saturday morning Lou's right eye started to cross inward. It was really bothering her and she would close it to try to watch TV or play with toys.
Seth did a little work on the arcade and the kids have been playing it a lot more.

The spring weather has been delightful. I have been able to get Lou out on more walks in the afternoon...she loves pushing her baby in the stroller.
Phin had to eat a lemon for a food/activity challenge at YM...he did not love the lemon.
Salt Con was so much fun this year. We took all the kids all three days and they had so much fun. They especially loved the vendor hall and all the freebies that the vendors passed out.
Silas was happy to find some of his favorite games in the game library.
The first night Seth and I played Finspan...an aquatic themed Wingspan. The artwork was beautiful. If we didn't already have Wingspan, I would be very interested in this one.
Friday we spotted the Mystery Machine on our way in to the convention.
Our favorite game of the convention was this Marvel Remix card game. You basically build a deck to maximize your points.
Poor Lou's eyes were bothering her so much. It took us nearly two weeks to get into the eye doctor. She compensated very well and would just close one eye.
Silas brought his money so he could by a Luigi goomba from the vendor hall.
Lou played this Haba Unicorn game non-stop.
Seth taught me how to play the most recent Red Raven game.
Snelgroves Ice Cream opened up in the city next to us. The kids loved the double cone. We went on our way home from Salt Con and brought one back to Seth to celebrate his birthday...more birthday celebrations to come in my March post.
