18 MONTHS

Silas hit 18 months back in September.  At his 18 month check-up we found out that he is 34 inches tall (91st percentile) and weighs 20 pounds 9 ounces (7th percentile).  He continues to fit in size 12-18 month clothes...but most pants are too big around the waist for him so his suspenders are more than for looks.  He is finally in nursery at church...although we had been taking him for several months.

He has his favorite rides at Lagoon.  The cars are definitely his  #1 and he cries almost every time that this ride comes to an end.

He is curious and likes to figure out how things work.

He is quick to smile and gives the best smiles to his siblings.

He spent quite a bit of time in the backpack on our Yellowstone trip and loved being up high where he could see what was going on.

He is an explore and loves to wander around outside.

He has developed a love for fruit snacks this month.  We also found out that he loves meat...little Smokies are his favorite.

He wants to be big like Phin and Millie and has started to put up a fight when we try to put him in his high chair.  He would rather climb up on the big chairs and sit with everyone else.

He surprised us and grew a molar this month.  Which means he now has 5 teeth.

Silas gets lots of "help" from his siblings...I can't tell you how many times a day I say "just leave Silas alone."  But in spite of all the extra help this guy still loves Phin and Millie.

We are pretty stoked that he is fitting in the Air Jordan shoes that Phin used to wear.  Cousin Emily and Jane call Silas "Mini Phin" and we have to agree.  When I look back at photos of Phin at 18 months they look a lot like twins.
