Here is another month in reverse...we will skip to the good part and introduce our sweet Louisa or as we call her "Lou" or "Lou Lou." She has healed our hearts in so many ways. I will be posting her birth story soon.
We had pounds and pounds of candy by the time Halloween actually hit so we continued our tradition from last year and set up an outdoor movie. Seth got everything set up in our front driveway. We watched several of the Halloween shows on Disney+. It was fun to see our neighbors as they came to trick or treat in our driveway. Silas loved the green glow-sticks that I pulled out near the end of the night.
Phin enjoyed some cuddles with Lou.
This year we went with a Wizard of Oz theme. It seems so perfect because Lou is our Rainbow Baby. We are so grateful our Rainbow finally arrived. We dressed Lou up as Glinda the Good Witch.
Phin was the Tin Man. Seth labored away on this costume and I love how it turned out. Phin was confident he would have won a "most creative costume" award.
Millie was Dorothy. She loved her sparkly slippers and has worn them quite a few times since. She also loved her stuffed animal Toto.
Silas was a Cowardly Lion. The body of this costume is the vintage monkey costume that my mom made when JB was a baby. We found the mane on Amazon...it is actually a mane to dress a dog up as a lion.
We carved pumpkins in October. Our kids love this tradition.
I was the Wicked Witch of the West...the green face paint really brings out my green eyes.
We attended Seth's work party again this year. His company "treats" us so well. The kids came home with pounds and pounds of candy. We actually had them organize and group the candy. We voted on our favorites and set aside our not so favorites to give away on Halloween. We enjoyed the Donut Kabob food truck after visiting all the offices.
Here is our ensemble picture for this year. Seth was the Scarecrow.
We also visited Gardner Village in October.
The kids loved decorating sugar cookies.
We picked out pumpkins at a local farm.
The kids couldn't wait for their school Halloween parties. I was a little sad to be missing the school scene this year.
We went to a Trunk or Treat at a local high school. Each club at the school typically has a trunk...this year it was a table inside the gym due to the rainy weather. The kids cleaned up at this event. Phin ended up with more than 3 pounds of candy and Millie and Silas each ended up with more than 2 pounds of candy.
Seth took the kids to the annual family party. This is a tradition they look forward to each year.
Here is one of my absolute favorite pictures of Lou. Look at all of that hair.
As they say...we didn't break the mold with this one. She looks so much like Millie as a baby.
She was definitely my "cheesiest" baby...she came out covered in very thick vernix.
Here are our last official photos as a family of five.
I also had Seth take a picture on my last Sunday pregnant.
Phin is learning to tie his tie...love this photo of father and son.
We went to Lagoon one Saturday afternoon...it was absolutely packed. We waited in the longest lines and headed home after just a few.
I took the kids to Cross E ranch. This is another one of their favorite traditions. This year we also picked a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch.
Millie loves cooking with me. We tried out some pumpkin cinnamon rolls from Amber's Kitchen on this particular day. The canned pumpkin made the dough so soft and moist.
We got a toy catalog in the mail and the kids loved pointing out all of their favorites.
Silas loves Mac and Cheese and often requests it for breakfast.
Seth helped the kids build a little Home Depot wood project. I love that Silas ran off to get his toy hammer to help.
We took a drive on Conference Sunday and found the most spectacular fall colors.
We started October off at Lagoon as well. Phin was so sweet and wanted to ride the Sky Ride with me. He realized it was one of the only rides that I was able to ride being so pregnant and wanted some special one on one time.

Awww, welcome Lou Lou!! She is precious! And totally Millie's mini-me.
When did Phin start looking like Bart?! I did a double check in the picture of you and him at Lagoon where he's wearing the hoodie. I wondered if one of Collette's kids was with you!
And I love the rainbow shades! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
