15 MONTHS

Silas hit 15 months back in June.  15 was a huge month for our little guy.  He finally got his bottom two teeth and he started to walk.  A friend commented that starting to walk was the perfect thing as summer was starting and I agree...although it meant that I was having to chase him all over this summer.

Not only does he walk...but he climbs.  He often climbs right on top of our kitchen table.  He also loves the little kid table that we have in our living room.

This little guy loves chasing around balls.

We spent some time at the ball park while Seth played softball this month.

I thought Silas looked adorable next to the fence.

Silas also got his first ride in the car shopping cart.  He was adorable as he moved his steering wheel back and forth.

Silas continues to have one good nap a day.  He usually goes down after lunch.  He rarely sleeps through the night.

My favorite thing to do is to look down at his perfect eyelashes.

I also like catching him with his hands behind his head when he is sleeping.  He typically sleeps on his tummy so this is a rare sight.

Silas loved our camping trips this summer.

He thought cousin Carver's chair was just perfect...

Happy 15 months to our busy walker and climber.  We love you!

Grandad's 70th

We headed up to Cache Valley one of the last Saturdays in June for Grandad's 70th birthday bash.  Grandma Jo and Grandad rented a huge water slide and the kids were in heaven.

Millie and Silas loved the new water table.

As part of the festivities we went to the Little Mermaid play.  Our extended family took up almost 3 rows.  Millie was in absolute heaven.  The costumes, scenery and acting were fantastic.

We loved Flounder.

Millie also loved meeting Ariel and Prince Eric at the end.

After the play we went back for more sliding...this time Millie was brave enough to go down with cousin Aunara.

Cousin Hollie was also super sweet and went down with Millie over and over again.

We had a yummy BBQ rib dinner.  Seth made some delicious red rice and beans and then worked off some of the yummy food with a 9-square game.

Happy Birthday Grandad!

Camp Z

We were able to go camping at the end of June.  We went up to Camp Zarahemla with our ward and invited Jeff and Carver to come with us.  The kids were SO excited.

They couldn't wait to go back to the swing over the river.

Our kind neighbors also shared their lawn darts.

Then we played in the sand volleyball courts.

Seth made yummy dutch oven enchiladas that we shared with a few friends.  While the food was cooking, the kids set to work finding sticks.

I love this photo of Carver and Silas in Carver's little camping chair.  Silas is also wearing Carver's hand-me-down WILD sweatshirt.

Phin tried to eat his weight in s'mores.

We stopped by the dollar store the day before for some glow sticks...they were a huge hit.

Silas and Millie slept on a queen size air mattress with me, Seth was on a cot and Phin was on a small air matress.  The kids slept great.

It was chilly the next morning so we snuggled up in our hoodies.

The kids ran around with friends and explored the area.

Then we went back to play on the swing.

Carver and Millie are the cutest little cousin BFFs.

Silas kept us on our toes.  He is go, go, go, from the time he wakes up to the time he is asleep.
