The Richards Family went on a little weekend getaway to Bear Lake at the End of August. A couple of weeks before we talked about going up a canyon to roast marshmallows...and then all of a sudden we had booked a Vacation Rental in Bear Lake for the weekend. The house we stayed in was GORGEOUS! There was plenty of room for our huge crew (14 adults and 17 kiddos).
The kids loved playing outside on the two big swings attached under the deck.
This home featured three large living rooms. The one in the basement also had a ping pong table.
Silas loved hanging out with Uncle JB.
When Kate arrived she had a whole entourage shout her name in excitement.
Papa loved snuggling all the babies.
Someone has developed a serious talent for getting his whole fist in his mouth.
There was a huge island with seating as well as two dining room tables...plenty of room to play games.
The back deck also had a couple of picnic tables.
Sarah was an absolute hero and got Silas to take a bottle.
The kids found a patch of Sunflowers and played with the pedals. I am pretty sure Millie is doing "he loves me, he loves me not" from The Little Mermaid.
Papa treated us all to LeBeau's Raspberry shakes on Friday night.
The kids enjoyed their shakes outside while they watched deer in a nearby field.
Phin, Kate, Millie and Harvey shared a bunk room. Kate and Millie just happened to be wearing matching PJs.
The next day after enjoying the lake we headed back to get ready for family pictures. Jeff snapped this photo of me with Millie and Silas...one of my favorite pictures of all time.
We got a picture of all of the cousins that started Kindergarten this year.
Sunday morning we took it easy and watched shows...
and enjoyed the yummy breakfast burritos that Kristi made for us.
The weekend went by entirely too quickly...we could have stayed for another week.
