Millie turned 2 years old at the end of September. We celebrated during the day by making her a cake. Millie is starting to grow out of taking naps...but fell asleep in the car on the way home from running errands. She was not very happy when she woke up and it took a little bit of coaxing to get her to open her presents.
She got a couple of books and a fun game. We played Haba's Animals Upon Animals together part way through present opening.
Millie also got a stroller for a baby. We figured it was high time she started to have some girl toys. She wanted to sleep with the stroller...and take it to school the next day. She also got a little Minnie Mouse purse that she hung over handle of the stroller.
We had made a pumpkin cake with brown sugar frosting that was delicious.
Millie is becoming more and more independent each day. I actually took this picture below after she went poop on the potty one of the first times. She pooped on the potty 3 times the week she turned 2. She weighs 23 pounds and 13 ounces which puts her in the 14th percentile for weight...we are happy to see her starting to go up in the charts. She is 33 inches tall or 2 feet 9 inches, which puts her in the 20th percentile for height. She now has 4 molars...so she is finally starting to catch up in the teeth department as well.
She and Phin are becoming the best of playmates. I love hearing their little conversations when they are playing.
It is cliche...but I really can't believe how quickly Millie's first 2 years have gone by...I remember so vividly the day she was born when they placed her on my chest.
I was in complete awe that this little dark haired baby could be mine.
Her hair has lightened up quite a bit...my Dad actually commented this summer on how similar our hair color is now. Here are a few of my favorite pictures of Millie from the past year.
Happy Birthday Sweet Millicent Mae! We are so grateful you are ours.

She's such a doll!
That cake sounds amazing! She is so adorable. With her head laying on the chair she looks so much like Phin!
